Look at these pretty babies all in a row! These curious calves are close to graduating from the farm's calf huts. Soon they'll be heading across the lot to cow kindergarten, where they’ll learn how to play, eat and sleep alongside fellow cows. From left are Pumpkin, Luvalittle, Shandy, Bermuda and Stellar.
Fun fact: Luvalittle’s mom is Luvalot, who is one of our farm’s rare triplet sisters!
Did you know visitors can bottle-feed baby calves during our hands-on tours? Hands-on tours are Monday-Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Reservations required.

Our May Customer of the Month is Chelsey Bowermaster.
She and her family moved to the Cedar Valley almost six years ago. Growing up, her family owned a dairy farm, so she understands well the health benefits of dairy products.
“Hansen’s milk and meat are the best quality, and in regards to health we love knowing our milk is local and from cows that are given healthy lives and diets,” Chelsey says.
Chelsey and her husband, Cole, have three children — Caroline, 10; Charli, 6; and Callahan, 4.
The family shops at our local retail stores and sometimes picks up Hansen’s products from Fareway. Their favorites are Hansen’s whole milk, chocolate milk, cheese curds, butter, ground beef and ice cream.
Because of her dairy farm background, Chelsey says supporting local food producers like Hansen’s Dairy is important to her.
“We have always given our kids dairy farm milk,” she said. “When we learned about Hansen’s we were hooked!”
Thanks, Chelsey! Customers of the Month receive a $5 gift certificate to use at our stores and two free hands-on tour passes to the farm (a $30 value). You could be chosen by filling out an entry form at our stores or through your comments on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Our May Cow of the Month is Jesup.
Jesup turned 2 years old on April 30 and has given birth to one calf, a male.
Herd Manager Blake Hansen says this gentle girl is "one of the nicest young cows in the barn," a personality trait she's had since the day she was born.
Jesup follows Blake and his team members around the barn like a loyal pup, reaching out now and again to give affectionate licks to clothes and skin!
