Election Day Naturalization Ceremony

The Honorable Donna F. Martinez, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of Connecticut, congratulates a new American citizen with Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman, Sec. of State Denise Merrill, and HPL CEO Bridget Quinn-Carey, at a naturalization ceremony on Tuesday, November 7 at Hartford Public Library.

All new citizens were eligible to register to vote on Tuesday or sign up for a U.S. Passport at the Library.
Extended Hours at The Kitchen

The Kitchen at Hartford Public Library began new extended hours at the start of the academic semester to accommodate students from the University of Connecticut.

Daily hours are: Mondays and Fridays, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Billings Forge is also running a new youth training program with Our Piece of the Pie, funded by a $250,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Read about it.
