Mercy Care has expanded its network of care with a new clinic to serve members with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) determination as of May 1, 2021. Southwest Behavioral & Health Services, which has a long history of providing behavioral health services in Maricopa County, will operate the clinic.

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H) Buckeye Outpatient Clinic serves members in the City of Buckeye in the far West Valley and surrounding areas in Western Maricopa County. SB&H provides integrated behavioral health care through evidence based interventions that assist families, children, adolescents, and/or adults in achieving optimal functioning in their personal lives and their community. Services are designed to be short-term in nature and build upon a consumer’s strengths, and provide community supports while minimizing behavioral crises and a recurrence of symptoms. Services may be provided in office, school-based, home-based, or virtual settings and address substance use, general mental health, serious mental illness, family functioning, mental health crises, treatment planning, skill building, and primary care.
