Special Opportunities This Week:

Check out what's happening soon at Tab!

Don't Forget this week: Daylight Savings Time ends at 2am on Sunday, November 1. When you go to sleep on Saturday night, October 31st, please remember to set your clocks back one hour (fall back) when you go to sleep, if they don't reset automatically, so that you can show up for church at the correct time.

Earlham College Concert

Join the Earlham College choirs and percussion ensembles in performance at Tab on Friday, October 23, at 7:00pm.

The Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Rhythm Project, and Hand Drum Ensemble will each present pieces from an eclectic program of world music, vocal jazz, contemporary, and more - even including a bit of combined choral and percussive fun. This performance is free to attend. Come support these young musicians on one of their Midwest tour stops! All are welcome.

Treats at Tab!

This year’s Treats at Tab will take place in Lower Level B from 12-1:30pm on Sunday, October 25. We’ll serve lunch,

play carnival games, and have goody bags, face painting, fun Halloween music, and of course, lots of Tab folks giving out candy to Tab’s children and the children of our neighbors.

All are welcome, and there’s no cost for this event.

We’ll need MANY volunteers willing to give out candy, help serve lunch, and oversee games, as well as members willing to donate candy (individually wrapped, please). Volunteer sign-up sheets are available each Sunday morning in McKee Hallway.

If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Wirt.

Portraits of Faith:
A Special Live Performance

C. S. Lewis — portrayed by Dan Rexroth

Dan Rexroth portrays C. S. Lewis with particular attention to Lewis’s lifelong engagement with doubt, suffering, and belief. More than a biographical sketch, this presentation explores the inner tensions that shaped Lewis’s faith and writing, offering a thoughtful portrait of a man who wrestled honestly with God, grief, and truth, and whose reflections still speak to those navigating questions, loss, and the demands of faith.

Fannie Crosby — portrayed by Sharon Poole

In this first-person portrayal, Sharon Poole invites us into the life and witness

of Fannie Crosby, the prolific hymn writer whose faith gave rise to some of

the church’s most cherished songs. Through story and reflection, Crosby’s

perseverance, devotion, and remarkable creative gifts come vividly to life,

revealing how her trust in God shaped a legacy of hymnody that continues to

strengthen the faith and praise of the church.
