From the Rector
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This is a first effort on my part to write you directly via Constant Contact. I want to let you know a few things immediately:

1) There is a critical blood shortage, and Wallingford Presbyterian is having a Blood Drive TODAY, 2pm to 7pm . Please consider donating blood. ( see below for details )

2 ) I have been in videoconferencing with our vestry, with the Bishop and other clergy, and with the Mayor of Swarthmore and other local faith leaders. From all of this, the vestry and I are working on a plan for new rhythms to sustain us, in community and service, for the long haul we are likely facing. The vestry and I will be in videoconference this Saturday for several hours, in lieu of the planned retreat. More soon.

3) Among these new rhythms are how we will continue in some form of corporate prayer and worship. To begin, I will continue to offer "Drive-through Communion" at 10am on Sundays. Please stay tuned for other offerings on weekdays.

4) I miss being with you in person, but we are together in Spirit. I pray for you. Please keep me in your prayers, as well.

Yours in Christ's love,
Ted+

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE
If you have early symptoms and are looking for information about how to get  tested  for coronavirus, DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.

As hospital emergency rooms begin to fill up with patients who suspect they may have COVID-19, the risk of picking COVID-19 in a hospital emergency room will increase.

1) If you are experiencing acute shortness of breath, call 911.

2) For information on getting tested, call your own doctor's office, the Greater Philadelphia Coronavirus Helpline at:   1-800-722-7112; or the PA State hotline:  1-877-PA-HEALTH.

The main thing is to avoid going to the ER to be tested for coronavirus.
