We are learning, growing and continue to make a profound impact. Thank you for your giving hearts and for the difference you are making. We continue to become more skilled and determined to provide village driven and community supported clean water and education projects.

Please enjoy this report of some of our accomplishments in 2021.

What's happening in Guatemala:

Water and Nutrition

In 2021 Family Humanitarian had the privilege of providing 70 families with water filters and hygiene and sanitation training, and a total of 140 garden boxes (2 for each family) after graduating from a 6 week nutrition and gardening course. This nutrition, gardening, and cooking education is aimed at sustainably relieving malnutrition and continues in the villages of Miralvalle, Sehululu, Xaliha and Semarac.

Education

We built 82 desks with 164 chairs for 3 different schools including schools in Naranjales, El Mirado and Seamay.

Building Projects

In 2021 we completed 2 medical clinics which the villages of Semarac and Xaliha are now using.

Looking Ahead

We anticipate having at least 4 expeditions to Guatemala in 2022. Working closely with the in country team we will continue to help thousands of deserving and motivated Guatemalans receive better nutrition, education, and clean water.

The latest in Africa:

Clean Water

2021 was a wonderful year for Africa! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to drill wells in 75 villages, bringing clean water to approximately 150,000 people! 56 of the wells were drilled in Uganda, 17 in Ghana and 2 in Liberia.

We were also privileged to provide another 450 families with water filters and hygiene and sanitation training.

Education

We happily completed two new primary schools in Lukhonge and Kitagalu, Uganda and provided new, sturdy desks for over 700 students.

Looking Ahead

Plans are underway to bring 3 more primary schools and at least 45 new boreholes to Uganda and 2 new primary schools and at least 21 new boreholes to Ghana in 2022.

We continue to study opportunities for new educational and water programs both in the countries we are currently working as well as in other developing countries.

From all of those who have been served, THANK YOU for making these dreams a reality!

There is still room for additional participants in the Guatemala Summer Expedition June 18 to June 26
