New forms published for Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism projects

Activity cycle forms for Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism projects have been published on the UN Climate Change website, marking an important step in making the mechanism operational.

Once the mechanism's methodologies are approved, these forms will enable activity participants to begin developing projects using the Project Design Document forms, as well as monitor A6.4 emission reductions (ERs) through the Monitoring Report forms.

Validation and verification report forms have also been published, allowing Designated Operational Entities (DOEs) to report on various project assessments, including on validation for registration, post-registration changes, crediting period renewals, as well as on verification once mechanism methodologies are approved.

Forms for Programmes of Activities (PoAs) are expected to be published soon.

All forms relevant to the Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism can be found on the Article 6.4 Rules and Regulations webpage on the UN Climate Change website, under the section titled "Forms".

New methodology submission forms published

Forms are now available for submitting new methodologies or methodological tools under the Article 6.4 mechanism. These forms allow activity participants to propose new methods for baseline and monitoring, which will be reviewed by the Supervisory Body.

If you're following the “Procedure: Development, revision, and clarification of methodologies and methodological tools,” you can submit your proposals to be assessed by the Methodological Expert Panel. Submissions should be sent via email to A6.4mechanism-meth@unfccc.int.

The deadline for submitting proposals for consideration at the 5th meeting of the Methodological Expert Panel will be shared in the report from its 4th meeting.
