South Florida Business Journal Structures Award Honoree!

The NMCRA was named a South Florida Business Journal (SFBJ) Structures Award honoree in the Community Impact category for our work on Phase 1 of the Pioneer Boulevard Renovation.

Chef Creole

Our NMCRA Business Spotlight this month is Chef Creole! A recipient of a $110,000 NMCRA Rehabilitation Grant, this restaurant has become a mainstay throughout Miami with their famed “spiced up seafood.”

NoMi Business Summit


Join us October 23 - 25 for the NoMi Business Summit. Presented by Councilwoman Kassandra Timothe, this event will give attendees insights and tips from some of the top entrepreneurs across various industries. Learn what it takes to launch and grow a successful business!

Capacity Building & Retention Grant Program

This program focuses on helping existing small businesses enhance their operations and capacity.


Stitches by Walter Miami, located at 769 NE 125 Street, was established in 2018 and offers two main services: embroidery and screen printing. They were awarded a Capacity Building & Retention Grant of $7,500 towards the purchase of a new heat press machine to allow for an enhanced quality of print services and a faster delivery time.

National Hispanic Heritage Month

Join the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) on Friday, September 30, 8:00 - 10:00 PM, to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with a free outdoor concert series with Dante Vargas!


The fun starts at 7:00 PM for "Jazz it Up" with MOCA! Participants will be learning salsa and bachata steps with two world champion salsa instructors.
