Program at Outcomes

TLC's Outcomes Service provides valuable support through the Community Supported Living Arrangements (CSLA) program. The goal of this program is to guide and support individuals with disabilities towards community independence and to assist with the everyday needs of the consumers we serve.  Outcomes staff utilizes person centered planning to assist our consumers in areas such as budgeting, bill paying, basic home maintenance, organizational skills, preparing healthy and budget-friendly meals. We also provide assistance with scheduling and travel to appointments, and we help our consumers navigate community resources that may affect their housing, food, medical and disability benefits.

Staff take pride in providing our consumers an array of low-cost, fun and stimulating activities, while also creating the opportunity

 for our clients to experience friendship and camaraderie with others in the community. These opportunities include participation in consumer-hosted, staff-led cooking workshops; cook-outs at local parks, day trips to local establishments such as the Harley Davidson motorcycle factory, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, Smithsonian museums, National Zoo and trips to amusement parks and county fairs. We accompany our clients to local sporting events, musical performances and plays and our consumers also enjoy participating in activities such as bowling, miniature golf and swimming at local pools.

Outcomes works diligently to help consumers live independently and fully integrate into the community. We place the focus on our consumers' abilities, not their disabilities.
