New guidelines, election day status, history +
October 30, 2020

As the Skokie Park District continues to operate in Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan,
the following are reminders and news updates for this week.

Update: COVID-19 guidelines & closures
The governor's latest COVID-19 mitigation orders for suburban Cook County have changed only one of the Skokie Park District's current guidelines:

A limit of 25 people or 25 percent of an overall room capacity,
for both indoor and outdoor gatherings or events.

The change essentially only effects large park district special events and facility room rental capacities. All other facility, program and park guidelines listed through the link below will remain the same, including specific guidelines for the Fitness First health club and for the Skatium Ice Arena.

As the world moves into its eighth month of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Skokie Park District's safety guidelines continue to evolve with the science.

With that in mind, a district web page has been created (link below) featuring safety guidelines and the open/closed status of district parks, facilities and programs.

We assure you that matter where or how you engage the Skokie Park District during the pandemic, the staff at the Skokie Park District continue to put the safety of its patrons first.
