Home Sweet Home!
We have fantastic news to share.  If all goes as planned, one of our current families (single-mom with 2 children) will move into their own apartment this weekend. Mom is leaving IHNA with full-time employment and childcare all lined up. Thanks to all of the congregations, volunteers, and supporters who made this possible. You should see the smiles!

Our other families will be spending Thanksgiving week at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church.  Thanksgiving Day, our families will enjoy a holiday feast with volunteers.  IHNA is thankful for MABC's hospitality as well as for the hospitality of all of our network congregations!
This Sunday....Interfaith Thanksgiving Service...come join us!
You are invited to join us for the second Interfaith Thanksgiving Worship Service on Sunday Nov. 19 at 4:30 pm in the UGA Tate Student Center Grand Ballroom. Parking at Tate is FREE!

This is a great opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the wonderful diverse community of Athens.

The Benevolence Market will follow the service as will refreshments. It will be a meaningful and enjoyable time to give thanks for being a member of the Athens community. Come on!
Much Gratitude to UGA Public Service and Outreach for a beginning our painting project.
UGA Public Service and Outreach held their Day of Service on Friday, November 17 and IHNA was the beneficiary of some of their good work.

We are grateful to Susan Parrish (Covenant Pres Volunteer Coordinator and IHNA Trainer) who was the site leader. We are also grateful to Dr. Shannon Wilder who is the Director of the Office of Service Learning (pictured with Davin Welter, IHNA ED)
Tremendous thanks to Connie, Jeanette, Jake, Brian, Kay, Pam, Bart, and Graham. These folks have started the project of painting our interior rooms to give them a fresh update and to make our Day Center as warm and inviting as possible.

Thanks to Abby Woodard, Owner and Designer of Abby Haygood Interiors who helped us pick out paint colors and to Home Depot who provided ten gallons of paint to start this project.

We hope to continue this project over the next couple of months. Let us know if you enjoy painting!
