William Square project bringing new residents to downtown Fredericksburg

The corner of Washington Avenue and William Street in downtown Fredericksburg is starting to take shape. As you read this, the elevator shafts are being completed, and other groundwork is underway at William Square, by Vakos Companies. CIP Finishes is proud to announce that we will have a hand in this development, having subcontracted with general contractor LF Jennings on furnishings and installation.

William Square will include the 99-room Hotel Fredericksburg and Amelia House, a building that will house 50 apartments, a fitness center and more at the former Free Lance-Star headquarters in downtown Fredericksburg. Bounded by Washington Avenue, and William, Amelia and Douglas streets, this 2.1-acre parcel also includes a vacant commercial pad site and related infrastructure.
Nonprofits make our region a better place to live, work and play
At CIP Finishes, we build community. We do this not only through the care we take in installing the finer details that make a place feel like home, but also in supporting the organizations that make our entire region stronger. In recent months, we’ve been proud to support the following organizations. We encourage you to learn more about the work these groups are doing to make our region a better place to live.

CIP supports firefighters in Arlington

CIP Finishes is proud to provide a safe, functional, beautiful space for first responders in Arlington. We installed 48 wardrobe lockers and accessories for firefighters this summer in the Highlands development in Rosslyn, partnering with general contractor Whiting-Turner. Arlington County firefighters moved into the new, permanent Fire Station 10 at the base of the development in late August.

Supply-chain problems continue to impact multi-family construction

All of our customers and partners in this industry are aware that the supply-chain issues brought on by the pandemic have not subsided. It is important to us at CIP Finishes that you know we are in this with you. Our staff is working tirelessly to find solutions where we can. We are a locally based provider that has served the multi-family industry in the D.C. market for three decades. Over that time, we’ve built expertise that we are now putting to work in helping our customers find substitutions when needed, and leaning on our suppliers as much as possible to keep your projects on-time and on-budget to the greatest degree that we are able. Please read our July letter about what we are doing to combat these issues. We will continue to work as hard as we can for all of our customers as we all experience this unprecedented disruption in the market.
