iMate Astronomy Control Box

The iMate is a single-board computer that features a powerful 64-bit ARM processor with Wi-Fi, preloaded KStars planetarium software, Ekos control and automation tool, and INDI drivers. This hardware-software combination will support the use of most current and future devices (cameras, focusers, filter wheels, etc.) allowing the user to choose a brand and model.

With 32Gb eMMC storage along with a slot for up to 64Gb TF (micro SD) memory, iMate has the ability to control and capture an entire automated imaging session. The iMate is cross-platform; use it with Windows, IOS, Linux, Android, etc.

IOptron’s new line of imaging Newtonian optical tube assembly’s (OTA). Each with a fast focal ratio perfect for imaging deep-sky objects with a DSLR or dedicated astronomy camera. They come standard with a Crayford-style focuser, dual split-hinged mounting rings, an 8x50 straight-through finder, and dovetail mounting plate make it ready to attach to your mount and start using. The primary mirrors are made from stable BK7 optical glass mirrors with at least 92 percent reflective coatings and a protective quartz layer. The steel tube offers significant thermal stability under a wide temperature range. Each model is equipped to accept the optional iEAF electronic focuser. Four models will be available ranging from a 6” F/4 to a 12” F/4 OTA.
