We're Returning Strong With
In-Person Learning This Fall!
Students benefit from in-person learning, and safely returning to in-person instruction in fall 2021 is a priority. We all play a part in returning to school safely and staying healthy all year.

We are following local and state guidelines to keep students, staff, and families healthy in our schools, including:
  • Face coverings/masks
  • Physical distancing
  • Improved ventilation
  • Hand washing and respiratory etiquette
  • Cleaning and disinfecting
Meet Our New District & School Leaders
Interim Superintendent Israel Vela
Israel Vela is honored to have been selected by the KSD School Board to serve as Interim Superintendent starting August 2. Mr. Vela was chosen based on his distinguished career as a teacher, principal, and district leader in Washington State and years of service in our district.
School Leadership Changes
Over the summer we have welcomed new leaders to our district and some of our current leaders have accepted new positions. Please join us in welcoming them and learn more about each of them on our website.
Be In The Know
Apply for Free Meals and Free or Reduced Activity Fees
Meals will be served to all students at no cost to families for the 2021-22 school year. By completing a free and reduced-price meal application, students and families may be eligible for additional benefits and schools can receive funding.
New Middle School Bell Schedule
This summer, our Transportation team studied our school bell schedules to make bus routes more efficient and we are adjusting middle school start and dismissal times by 15 minutes:
  • Morning Start Time: 8:15 a.m.
  • Dismissal Time: 2.55 p.m.
Fill the Bus School Supply Drive
In partnership with Communities in Schools of Kent, we are collecting school supplies to be distributed to our students. Donate supplies by August 25 at locations throughout Kent or request school supplies for your student(s).

Enroll for the 2021-2022 School Year Online
Our new online enrollment application is ready! Do you know someone with a student who will be 5-years-old by August 31 or who is moving to the area? They can easily enroll online on our website.
