We welcomed thousands of new students, hundreds of new staff members, and opened the doors to a new school this September.
Two of our teachers were surprised with awards for their dedication and passion in their classrooms, students learned about telling their own unique stories, and we raised awareness about the importance of students being in school every day.

Digital Flyer Delivery Starts October 1
Kent School District is excited to launch a new electronic flyer communication tool called “Peachjar.” This “green” initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.
Kent School District is committed to educational excellence and ensuring that families stay informed about important activities and events that enhance their child’s life. To improve parent and community engagement, Kent School District is now using Peachjar to send digital flyers directly to our families.
By using this new system, Kent School District expects to eliminate the need to print roughly 3,528,000 sheets of paper per year– nearly 424 trees. Additionally, the school district no longer incurs the administrative burden and costs associated with paper flyer distribution.
Digital flyers will be sent directly to parents who see them as visually engaging images right on their smartphone or computer screen. Additionally, all flyers will be posted to each school’s website. No action is required on your part. You will receive a welcome email from our service provider (Peachjar) that includes a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view school digital flyers.
To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add “[email protected]” to your email contacts. When you receive your first eflyer, be sure to click “always display images.”
This system is used exclusively for distribution of district-approved flyers. Your email address
will not
be shared or used for any other purpose.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents and families are well informed about school and district programs, activities, events and enrichment opportunities.
