NEW IN THE ILLINOIS MEDICAL DISTRICT: JULY 2018
FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
As the CEO and Executive Director of the IMD, I'm tasked with fostering economic growth within the District, and in our neighboring communities. In order to be successful, we need to attract businesses who will fit seamlessly within the mission of the IMD, and create impactful changes for west side residents.
I'm thrilled to share with you that the IMD has broken down a major barrier to our path for success. We recently  announced the full and early redemption of $40 million in bond revenue debt.

This debt relief provides the IMD with greater flexibility to pursue its strategic vision to advance development of the District and reshape the practice of medicine. The redemption also relieved the State of Illinois of a moral obligation.

The IMD is undoubtedly in a stronger position to pursue strategic growth that will create a more thriving environment for those who live, work and visit here. We're excited for what's next, and we're glad to have you, our IMD partners along for the journey.
