DCC Lankhmar! Third-Party Sci-Fi! Two new DCC Corebook Covers!
|
Four in one! That’s right, there are FOUR new books in our online store today for
Dungeon Crawl Classics
, and we’re happy to showcase them!
Two are new editions of our classic (pun maybe intended) rules, one is the latest out for
Lankhmar
, and the fourth is a brand-new Third-Party release for
DCC
that is out of this world!
Let’s take a closer look!
|
A level 2 adventure set in Lankhmar!
Skullduggery and sorcery in the streets of Lankhmar! Herein you will find two adventures set in the seedy underworld of the city.
In the first, the party must steal back a stolen sarcophagus from the grips of a macabre smuggling ring. The second concerns a band of questionable heroes thrown together by misfortune who must fight their way out of an unearthly wizard’s lair—a perfect way to start a new DCC Lankhmar campaign!
Both demonstrate that there’s no dearth of thrills, dangers, and, of course, wealth to be found in (and under) the city of Lankhmar. Do you have what it takes to make it through the night?

LONG CON: THE LONG RECAP!
Judge Brendan shares a full version of his trip to Texas!
|
The Long Con 2019 was a fantastic event. There were more
Dungeon Crawl Classics events at this show than any system other than 5E. The two organizers, Eddie and Matt, are both huge
DCC fans. They were extremely excited to have me and David Baity there for the weekend and we got the royal treatment to say the least.
Over the course of the weekend, I ran five games. Below are some highlights for two of them.
|
Friday Afternoon: Neon Knights. This was a good game. I had the four familiar friends—The Lilies, two adults and two children—plus one other DCC fan and one first timer. We had a very near TPK as the impetuous wizard (played by the youngest of the Lillie clan) opened the treasure chest without waiting for the thief to check it, freeing the radiation beast who promptly killed two characters. They all had a laugh in the end.
Sunday AM: DCC Inn at Five Points.
Best game of the con. I only had one Lillie this time, the patriarch, along with one newbie, three folks with some experience, and one guy who was in an excellent session of
Hole in the Sky
with me at Origins. The character playing the halfling tried to kill the wolf-wyrm by jumping down its gullet and attacking it from the inside, a la "Drax the Destroyer." Not so much. The halfling died, so the player got a new character when they made it to the Inn. The final fight was amazing—it swung back and forth and back and forth. At one point the wizard misfired a sleep spell, putting himself and a buddy to sleep . . .but no, that buddy was an elf and was immune, and that wound up saving the day. That was a devastating a fight as I've seen in Five Points, wonderful time and great way to end the convention. (The team is pictured in the header for this article.
At the far right in the green shirt is the player of Clem, the Halfling who died gloriously in the gullet of the wolf-wyrm!)
All-in-all it was an amazing show, and I can't wait to be back next year!

3 DAYS TO GO!
|
It's the last chance for you to get in on another third-party
DCC
Kickstarter! Psychoda Press and James A. Pozenel, Jr are bringing you
The House of the Red Doors
.
Described as a more intimate adventure,
The House of the Red Doors
is is a funnel that can be used for tournament play or it can level up a peasant for campaign play. It is one player adventure that requires a Judge.
That’s right, this is a one-on-one adventure. One Judge, one player. The adventure involves a lot of puzzle-solving and can be played in less than half an hour. It’s a different beast for
DCC RPG
!
Three stretch goals are met, but there's still time to get that last one complete! Show your support today!

IAN MILLER'S TAROT!
A beautiful collection in one Kickstarter
|
LAST CHANCE!
3 DAYS TO GO!
|
If you’ve seen Ian Miller’s work in
Tales From The Magician’s Skull #1
, you’re probably just as impressed as us. Many of you may remember his work from the golden era of the UK role-playing scene, where he illustrated countless works by Games Workshop. Well, he is now running a Kickstarter for a personal work, and we wanted to share.
This Kickstarter is NOT from Goodman Games, nor does it tie in directly with
DCC RPG
. It IS an amazing full set of 78 cards, each featuring original artwork by Ian Miller.
The project is fully funded, and heading into its final weekend. In fact, it's already cleared all of its stretch goals! If you pledge to this Kickstarter, you'll be getting a lot of unique material that is exclusive to this campaign, so don't wait! You've only got days to act!

VISIT US AT U-CON!
Judge Brendan hits MI!
|
U-Con is a fantastic convention that has a long relationship with Goodman Games. For years now Judge Brendan LaSalle has been a guest of honor at the show, and has now been moved into the category of “Guest Emeriti” for the 2019 convention. (We promise he hasn’t retired from work.)
And the show—set just outside Detroit in Ypsilanti, MI—will once more host a special event. Shane Harsch and Judge Brendan are again running their two-man New Year’s Evil event on Saturday night! And that’s just one of the five
DCC RPG
games that Brendan will be running throughout the weekend.

THE BEST OF THE CONAN PASTICHE NOVELS!
HAJ gives you a guide
|
If I didn’t love the writing of Robert E. Howard I would probably never have bothered with any Conan pastiche. As a matter of fact, those Conan novels on store shelves in the ’70s and ’80s made me so skeptical of Conan that I didn’t try Robert E. Howard’s fiction until years later. I wrongly assumed that because the series looked cheap and mass-produced that Howard’s writing would sound that way. (Robert E. Howard, of course, had nothing to do with the mass marketing of his character, having been dead for decades before that marketing was carried out by other hands.)...

ANNOUNCING THE FRENCH EDITION OF DCC RPG!
Dungeon Crawl Classics gets another translation!
|
Akileos Publishing is proud to announce the future publication of the French edition of the
Dungeon Crawl Classics Role-Playing Game
from Goodman Games.
Since 2003, Akileos has published comics, movie tie-ins, and art books from artists all over the world – works coming from the fertile minds of its authors, and role-playing games that have helped revolutionize the worlds of imagination.
Akileos is very proud to be able to work with Goodman Games to publish the French edition of the main rulebook and the first 3 adventures.
To help finance the launching of the line and plan the following translations, we have decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign on January 15th on Gameontabletop.com.
These next two months will help us advance the translation of the rulebook and the adventures. The campaign will also allow us to offer goodies and add-ons like a Judge’s Screen and special dice sets.
We are thrilled to launch this new project and we will keep you informed on the details of the campaign and the progress of work.
Emmanuel Bouteille
RPG editor at Akileos
