Small Business Owner's Guide to the New CARES Act
The  Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security  (CARES)  Act that was signed into law by the President this past weekend. The legislation provides for $350 billion financing to small businesses impacted by the coronavirus.

NEW Pennsylvania Financing Programs

The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) created a new business financing program for small businesses (100 employees or less) in PA to help with access to working capital.   The new loan program has avaliable $60 million, maximum $100,000, 0% IR and other terms.

  • Required Workplace Posting: Employee Rights Notice: Paid Sick Leave and Expanded Family and Medical Leave under The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)
  • Employee Travel Letter for life sustaining businesses – Template. A letter template is available which can be incorporated into your company letterhead, should your business be deemed as "life-sustaining" by the PA Governor and you have the need for employees to travel to-and-from your workplace. It also can provide your contact information should your employee(s) find it necessary for someone to contact you while traveling to and from your workplace. This template can be downloaded and printed from here.
