On December 19, the State of Florida approved funding for the permanent conservation of 5,058 acres across three different properties within the Florida Wildlife Corridor. Thank you to the governor and Cabinet, state agencies, land owners, land trusts, and other partners who worked together to make this possible. Please use our digital media toolkit to share the good news on social media. Join us in celebrating the story of the Florida Wildlife Corridor and our collective progress protecting it!

Yesterday's approvals bring the total number of acres approved for conservation this year to 111,059. Nearly 200,000 acres of land have been approved for protection within and adjacent to the Corridor since the signing of the Florida Wildlife Corridor Act in 2021. The goal is to protect an additional 800,000 acres in the Corridor by the end of the decade.

At Wildpath, we lead photography and storytelling campaigns that celebrate each new piece of the Florida Wildlife Corridor approved for protection. To learn more about the properties being protected, visit our website wildpath.com/progress.

Growing the movement to save wild Florida depends on creating and sharing these stories. Please consider a donation to Wildpath so our photographers and communications team can stay on the front lines of conservation storytelling.
