This week, you will see a sleeker, modern look for the User information screen in PennConnect, plus a new field to provide a mobile phone number. We are adding this field as we move closer to implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) into the PennConnect login process for added security.

Multi-factor authentication coming soon
Once MFA is activated you will have the option to receive a verification code via email or text. We will be implementing MFA on a state-by-state basis beginning in August through the end of the year. We encourage you to add your mobile number prior to implementation.
These enhancements not only strengthen security, but also allow you to manage your user activity as efficiently and effectively as possible. Watch for more information on this new security enhancement.

Reminder: Users must have a unique email address
In accordance with our terms and conditions, we require that each PennConnect User ID must be associated with one and only one agency employee. User IDs and email addresses may not be shared by multiple users. In order for MFA to function effectively, PennConnect users must make sure that they have entered a unique email address that is not shared with others. Please be sure to review your User Information and update your email address as needed.
