Get to Know Us: Giselle Pinares |

Hello, my name is Giselle Pinares, also known as Gigi, and I am the youngest member at Del Amo Law office, being only 19 years old. I was born and raised in Hialeah with an amazing Cuban-American family who have helped me become the person I am today.

My parents inspire me to become better every day and have taught me how blessed I am to have the opportunity to succeed in life. Since I was 4 years old, watching the courtroom television show, “Caso Cerrado,” with my grandmother, I have loved the law and helping others with their difficult situations, and this was my first inspiration to become an attorney. Throughout high school I took a 4 year long law academy, in which I took part in a mock trial and got to experience the fascinating world of law. I graduated with a 4.6 GPA, Top 10 in my class, President of National Honor Society, Key Club member, Vice-President of my class, school Mentor and Magna Cum Laude. Currently I study at Florida International University majoring in Political Science. |

On a more personal level, I love to travel, play with my doggy, Chilly, bake yummy treats and spend time with family and my amazing partner (fun fact: we were high school sweethearts, aw right?) I love to stay positive about every situation and know God has the best plans for me at the end of the day. “Life is short, live happy” is a small quote I live by. Also, I make the best cortaditos in town, ask for one when you come down to our office! |
As I mentioned earlier, I am only 19 years old and when I started working at Del Amo Law I was 18 and only a receptionist, now, 10 months later, I am a legal assistant to our Personal Injury Protection Department. I have learned so much about our legal system and how to properly assist our incredible clients. From learning the best communications skills to drafting motions and filing documents to the courts, I have had the best growth here with my Del Amo Law family and know they will continue to support me through my journey. |

August 2021:
Back to School : After a few months of summer, the school bell is about to ring again this month. Miami-Dade Public Schools will open its door to students on August 23, while Broward County welcomed them on August 18th. With this in mind, this month is likely filled with last minute trips and last minute shopping for much needed “Back to School Items”.
Considering going back to school, COVID-19 is still a concern for many and Miami-Dade County Public Schools have announced new rules that will apply to this upcoming school year. From the start of classes until September 30th, classes will be provided online while the possibility of reopening face to face classes is being analyzed. Once this step is completed starting on October 5th, online classes and in-person classes will be taking place simultaneously based on the parent’s decisions. Lastly, all students will return to the in-person classes and online will only become a choice for parents.
COVID-19’s volatility is key when preparing for this return to classes, although a plan has been established, CDC’s regulations or new developments may lead to the modification of this plan.
