Mulching Program Helps Wildfire Mitigation Plan
We have been hard at work clearing brush and trees as part of our Wildfire Mitigation Plan. This new mulching program is designed to reduce the amount of combustible material in the rights-of-way.

So far the results have been extremely positive. Recent work has been focused in the St. Helens area. We will continue to work systematically throughout our service territory.
Heat Pumps Can Also Keep You Cool
You can keep your home comfortable all year long with a heat pump. Even though they're called heat pumps, these systems provide cooling during the summer, too.

We offer rebates for qualifying ducted central system heat pumps as well as for qualifying ductless systems. To be eligible, you must heat your home with electricity.
We Are Continuing to Replace Meters
As part of our continued effort to improve operational efficiency and to improve outage awareness and response, we will be replacing your electric meter.

We are in the second year of a five-year project to systematically replace all of the electric meters in our service territory. When we replace your meter, we will need to briefly shut off your power to install the new meter.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve our service and reliability.
Help Keep Kids Safe Around Electricity
May is National Electrical Safety Month. We'd like to pass along some tips that may help keep your kids safe around electricity:

  • Always stay away from downed power lines.
  • Stay away from substations, utility poles, transformer boxes, and other electrical equipment.
  • Never climb trees that are near power lines.
  • Don't touch electric appliances or outlets when you are wet or touching water.
