River Stewards Workday
Saturday, May 15, 2021
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Join the River Parkway Trust to help remove the invasive plant Sesbania punicea (Scarlet Wisteria) at River West Madera. Sesbania threatens local waterways in part by out-competing native plant species. The River Parkway Trust's Restoration Project team has been working to remove the invasive plant species throughout the 22-mile Parkway reach. This volunteer workday will give you the chance to make a difference as you remove Sesbania plants and you will learn more about the impacts of invasive plant species on the San Joaquin River.

For this workday, River Steward volunteers will meet at the gate located across the street from the Valley Golf Center on Avenue 9. All tools and materials are provided. Space is limited, so click the button to register today!

If you have any questions, please contact our Biological Technician, Josh McLaughlin at jmclaughlin@riverparkway.org.
River Stewards help remove Sesbania from the San Joaquin River Parkway.
Save the Date: River Stewards Workday, June 19, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Registration and additional details will be available soon.
