New from Lexington Theological Seminary and Reconciliation Ministry

Lexington Theological Seminary is excited to partner with Reconciliation Ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) to offer Facilitating Our Reconciliation: Anti-Racism and Pro-Reconciliation Facilitation Skills Train-the Trainer course. This course will be offered online September 14-26, 2020.  
 
The course is offered on a first come first serve basis and will take no more than 25 students. Do not wait and miss your opportunity!
 
We are offering a discounted price of $125 per person for those who register on or before August 15, 2020.  After August 15 the price increases to $150 per person. This price includes one year’s access to the online learning materials.
 
Registration closes September 7, 2020. No registrations will be accepted after that date.
 
Receipt of payment is considered your registration for class. If you do not have a Paypal account you do not have to create one in order to pay. You can simply go in as a guest.
 
Within 3 business days of registration you will receive an email from Instructure Canvas. This will provide you the login information to the online classroom.

Turnout Sunday/Lawyers & Collars will recruit and equip pastors and church-based lawyers to provide a moral and legal presence, at polling sites of vulnerable voters. 

 In a partnership with the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, pastors and church-based lawyers will participate in September and October Election Protection Webinars by registering via www.turnoutsunday.com

Turnout Sunday/Lawyers & Collars are also mobilizing young senior pastors to reach unregistered young people. 

The campaign is planning an election day Clergy Rapid Response Hotline and Command Center to help ensure free, fair, and safe elections.

Scheduled to participate:
  • David Bell serves as Minister for Indigenous Peoples Concerns; Director of Yakama Christian Mission; and as a Core Trainer for Reconciliation Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
  • Pedro Ramos-Goycolea serves as the Pastor of Desert Dove Christian Church in Tucson, AZ; and as Co-Chair of the Pro-reconciliation/Anti-racism Team in Arizona.
  • Crow Eddy is a Mi’kmaq artist in Nova Scotia, Canada; a member of a North American council on Truth and Reconciliation called; and a member of the Centre for Indigenous Ministries (D.O.C.) Council. In the spring and fall, he leads healing circles hosted by Milton Christian Church.
  • April Burrows from the leadership team at Sugarbush Christian Church in Guelph, Ontario.
