April 2019
Thank you Jesse Mejias for building new owl boxes for the Parkway!
On Saturday, April 20, Jesse Mejias, an Eagle Scout with Fresno's Troop 2, completed construction of 8 new owl boxes to be put up at the River Center and on other Parkway properties. Jesse acquired donations for all the construction materials and recruited members of his church to help with the project.

Jesse researched owl box construction plans and worked in partnership with the River Parkway Trust's Project Manager Jake Salimbene. The new boxes Jesse constructed will provide nesting habitat for barn owls at the River Center and throughout the Parkway.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Jesse and his team of volunteers for their work on this project.
