EXPLORE OUR RESEARCH PROGRAM

Every day, 27 Canadians face the life-changing diagnosis of a brain tumour, a condition with profound physical, emotional, and financial effects. Our vision is to discover the cause and cure for brain tumours while improving the lives of those affected. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, we’re proud to offer funding opportunities throughout 2025 to support groundbreaking research.

The Brain Tumour Research Studentship provides students with opportunities to gain experience in brain tumour research and its research methods. Successful applicants will receive $10,000 over two years ($5,000 per summer).

Our Brain Tumour Research Fellowship is now open and accepting applications. It encourages and enables young clinicians and scientists to enter the field of brain tumour research and accelerate studies leading to a cure for brain tumours.

Young survivors of pediatric brain tumours aged 16 to 30 pursuing post-secondary education can apply for our unique Youth Education Award.

Additionally, the Trevor Harrison Civic Engagement Scholarship provides up to $2,000 for students dedicated to making a positive impact on public policy or politics through civic engagement during their studies.

Our Elevation Grant provides up to $50,000 for the first year, with the potential for an additional $50,000 in the second year. Year-two funding is contingent upon the successful completion of year-one goals and the Research Committee’s assessment of the project’s impact and potential for meaningful progress.
