New Contra Costa Call Center Helps Small Businesses
Helps small business owners and workers navigate the impacts of COVID 19
We know the COVID-19 pandemic is hitting small businesses especially hard, affecting owners and workers.

A new call center is now available in Contra Costa County to connect businesses and workers with helpful federal, state and local programs. This includes providing resources and referrals on loans and grants, unemployment insurance, payroll subsidies, and other critical concerns.

The trained team who answer calls can also assist with tapping into programs to reduce utility costs, access online career training, and other business services.

Small Business Call Number:
8:30 am to 5 pm - Monday through Friday

The line, which starts operating today (April 23), is a collaboration of the Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County, the Economic Development arm of the County's  Department of Conservation and Development (DCD), and the Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD).

The line will help small businesses learn how to scale back or survive a temporary closure, and how to ramp back up as COVID-19 restrictions ease off. This process is expected to be incremental over many months, and we face many unknowns.

I strongly advocated for this important resource and hope our vitally important small business community will find it useful.
