The Sheridan community is heading into our sixth week of school. During this important time at the beginning of the year, we on focus on building community and establishing routines to ensure that our students are comfortable, happy, and ready to learn. It’s been a joyful and productive start, filled with meaningful moments that strengthen our sense of belonging.

To add to our exciting first few weeks, this past Sunday our Sheridan community came together to officially open and cut the ribbon on our brand-new space. We're so excited to welcome you to our new school home!

SPOTLIGHT ON MOUNTAIN CAMPUS

Our Mountain Campus trips this fall have been a huge source of happiness and excitement. 3rd-8th Graders all visit our 130 acre campus in Luray, VA to spend time in nature, bond with their classmates, and challenge their bodies and minds. Students practice taking on personal challenges and support each other at various activities, and build collaborative skills while problem solving during team building. They also engage in lessons that connect to their classroom work in science, and learn about permaculture and sustainability.

Here are our 5th graders at the pond doing some exploration and learning about ecosystem balance.
