Last week, we reported to you that EOHHS intended to utilize $100 million in Economic Development bill funding for FY23 (line item 1599-6066) for three initiatives: $55 million to continue supplemental supports for services that had not yet had rate reviews, and two targeted DCF and DDS initiatives.
We are happy to report that we were successful in advocating for the funding to be used in accordance with the legislative directives for broad-based, workforce supports.
In discussions today, EOHHS also reported that the previously announced initiatives will still be implemented via alternative funding sources.
The method and timing for the distribution of the Economic Development bill funding will be forthcoming as details are worked out.
