WEDNESDAY, March 8, 2023

Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with your Spirit and Life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that my life may only be a radiance of yours. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel your presence in their soul. Let them look up, and see no longer us, but only Jesus!

Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others. The light, O Jesus, will be all from you; none of it will be my own. It will be you, shining on others through me. Let me then praise you in the way you love best, by shining on those around us. Let me preach you without preaching; not by words but by example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love our hearts bear for you. Amen

Last week to apply to FACTS for grant and aid, along with additional scholarship dollars...

Beginning 2022, the addition of the SGO (Scholarship Granting Organization), through the state of Ohio, has provided an opportunity for Newark Catholic High School to directly give back to families in the form of a scholarship. This will be the first year additional monies are available to award as a product of the Emmaus Road Scholarship. The only way to qualify for a partial to full scholarship is to apply through FACTS. It must be completed online by March 15, 2023, here, for a fee of $35.00 per family, which will be reimbursed if no scholarship is awarded. NC is urging all families to apply. Please have your 2021 tax return ready, along with income or W2 for 2022 to answer financial questions.

Many contributed to the Emmaus Road Scholarship on behalf of Newark Catholic in order to help families afford Catholic education. Ohio residents can earn a dollar-for-dollar tax credit of up to $1500 married filing jointly and $750 for single filers. If you or someone you know would like to contribute and earn a State of Ohio credit, you are able to give monthly or in full. Take advantage of this win-win opportunity and help Newark Catholic continue to award scholarships to many families, each year, by learning and designating your contribution, www.emmausroadscholarship.org.
