And the winner is…. Our alumni network!
Reflecting the depth and breadth of talent we are fortunate to count on, we are now ready to begin the next exciting chapter for the P&G Alumni Network as our newly elected board directors take office.
Amongst 25 strong candidates and several thousand votes later, we can now introduce the talented people selected by you to help deliver our purpose in the years to come. With seven positions rotating, we are happy to present a mixture of new talent with new ideas and some strong talent returning with experience and renewed focus.
Our new board directors add both diversity of thought, of geography, and of background. A warm welcome to Gina Lam, from Florida; to LaShawn James from California, and Renzo Rizzo from Italy. Returning to the board for another term are Katrin Seifarth from Germany, Anthony Rose from Singapore, York Huang from China and of course the inimitable Ed Tazzia. Welcome home all!
Inevitably, at the “business end” of an election there will also be disappointment for some candidates. We are, however, extremely fortunate that many of our board candidates have already pledged to help the network in other roles and we look forward to this too. A special thanks for his work so far and an even bigger thanks for the work still to come goes to Hisham Khalifa who steps down from the global board at this junction.

Suzy Deering is Ford’s global Chief Marketing Officer - leading Ford’s North America marketing and driving strategy across the company’s global business units – to constantly enhance and release the huge customer and company value across Ford’s iconic brands. Suzy was previously global CMO of eBay, where she helped revive the company’s brand and drive sharply higher revenue. She also served as CEO of Moxie, a technology-led marketing agency, and spent many years in senior media and brand roles at Verizon and Home Depot. And she actually got her start at the Walt Disney Company and studied Advertising at the University of Georgia. Suzy’s been recognized as an AdAge “40 Under 40” and as one of Business Insider’s “Top 50 Most Innovative CMOs.” While Suzy may not be a P&G Alumni - she is a purpose-driven leader. Suzy also happens to be a longtime friend of fellow P&G Alumni leader (and past podcast guest) Kirk Perry, now CEO of IRI Worldwide, who joins for the first of many “deep dives” - where past guests invite non-Alumni leaders to for a candid conversation on their leadership journeys.
