Fairfax, VA (November 19, 2021) --- Combined Properties is pleased to announce the signing of two brand new tenants at Scout© on the Circle: Roots Natural Kitchen and Izakaya Genki. Both restaurants will open in highly visible endcap spaces, with Roots taking 2,500 SF and Izakaya occupying 3,500 SF.
Roots Natural Kitchen began with the mission to sell delicious, affordable, and healthy food while promoting community well-being. Diners are invited to try one of Roots' signature bowls featuring a variety of natural foods, or build their own from fresh ingredients ranging from brown rice and kale to grilled chicken and barbecue tofu. Their new restaurant at Scout© will be their first location in Northern Virginia, joining 7 other highly successful Roots Natural Kitchen concepts across North Carolina, Ohio, Deleware, and Pennsylvania.
Izakaya Genki is the latest concept in a series of successful restaurants in the DC Metro Area from operator Kam “Ed” Wong. With his new location at Scout©, Mr. Wong will be introducing a variety of offerings, including small plate dishes, shareables, and Yakitori, a traditional Japanese chicken skewer.
"Our goal with Scout© retail is simple: find fresh concepts that will not only excite residents, but serve the larger Fairfax community," explains Jonathan Shartar, Senior Vice President of East Coast Leasing. "Both Roots and Izakaya fall perfectly in line with that goal. We welcome them to the Scout© lineup and look forward to their success."
With these two new restaurant concepts, Combined Properties continues to bring exciting and diverse food offerings to its new mixed-use project. They will join a host of ground floor retail tenants, including TeaDM (recently opened), Peri Peri (opening soon), and F45 (open now). The project is anchored by Giant, the DC metro area’s largest grocery retailer, which opened late summer 2020.
