Newman's Annual Talent Show
Yeehaw! It's the time of the year again when we round up all the talented cowboys, cowgirls, and cowpeople for Newman's Talent Showcase: Coffeehouse!

This year's theme is Lone Star!

It will be held on Saturday, February 29, (leap day!) at 6:00pm, at the Newman Center in Roetter Hall. If you're interested in performing, sign-up by February 14.

We're gonna have a rootin'-tootin' good time! Coffeehouse is open to the whole town of Newman and includes free dinner, free entertainment, and free fun! Wear your cowboy hats and spurs! Hitching posts for your horses and mules will be provided out front.
Build a Miracle, Build a Home
Join Good Sam and Build a Miracle to build a home for a family in Tijuana, Mexico. Please sign-up by Sunday, February 23, for the Saturday, February 29, build date. To learn more contact Jon Miller (619) 990-1526 or visit our website. Passport is required. All ages are welcome!

Build Dates
Saturday, February 29 – Mix and pour concrete to build foundation
Saturday, March 14 – Install insulation, metal lathe, and drywall
Saturday, April 25 – Paint and assemble furniture
You can sign-up for one or more build dates up to one week prior to the build date.

Donations are welcome. Please make check payable to Good Samaritan Episcopal Church with Build a Miracle in the memo line.

Healing Circle
Our Care Ministry will hold its monthly healing circle on Sunday, February 9, after 12:30pm Mass, in the Chapel. Everyone is welcome, especially those who would like to join together in praying for healing in any aspect of their lives or those of their loved ones.

UCSD Little Food Pantry
The Newman Center is collecting food for the UCSD Little Food Pantry and would love your support. The pantry’s mission is to address the barriers regarding social stigma and accessibility that restricts some students from utilizing the food resources at UCSD. You can find a list of items to buy on the gray collection bin in the Church vestibule.

CLC: Election 2020 (Doing Good, Avoiding Evil)
On the one hand, not all moral issues have the same weight. On the other hand, we as Catholics cannot focus on certain issues and ignore others. On Wednesday, February 12, from 8:00pm to 9:00pm, come to the final part of our Faithful Citizenship series and explore what it means to both do good and avoid evil.
Men's Study Group
Every Thursday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the CES there will be a study group for Catholic men. Contact Junior if you have any questions.
Young Adults and Graduate Students (YAGS)
Young adults (ages 21-35, generally already graduated) and graduate students are invited to attend a gathering on Thursdays at 7:30pm at the  Newman Center in Roetter Hall. Stay up to date with the YAGS by following them on Facebook.

Take a break in the middle of your week to spend time with Jesus in the form of the Blessed Sacrament. There will be live worship music, a speaker, and silent prayer. Join us from 8:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, February 19, at the CES.
