Want good food at an extremely affordable price? Join us Thursday, October 3, at the Center for Ethics and Spirituality ( CES). All students are welcome! Doors open at 6:00pm and food is served at 6:30pm. Don't miss out on a $1 ALL YOU CAN EAT meal! Bring your friends!
Young Adults and Graduate Students (YAGS)
Young adults (ages 21-35), (generally already graduated) and graduate students are invited to attend a gathering on  Thursdays at 7:30pm at Roetter Hall. Bring a friend or make a new friend at this weekly gathering of faith sharing, Bible study, and camaraderie.
First Friday Reconciliation at CES
Come experience the transforming and healing power of reconciliation on Friday, October 4, 3:00pm – 4:00pm, at the Center for Ethics and Spirituality ( CES).
Liturgical Ministry Training
Interested in helping out at Mass? You will have the opportunity to be trained as a Minister of the Word, Minister of Hospitality, Extraordinary Minister, and Altar Server on October 5, at 12:00pm at the Newman Center.

Youth Emergency Shelter
Sign-up to provide a dish or help serve dinner to homeless teens on  Sunday, October 6, at 7:00pm at the Youth Emergency Shelter in Hillcrest. To sign-up or for more info email Denise.
Help Stock the Food Pantry
This month's item for the food pantry at the Community Christian Service Agency (CCSA) is Mac and Cheese. You can place items in the CCSA basket at the entrance of the church on Sundays.

XLT: Adoration at CES
XLT is short for exalt. It combines contemporary worship music with Eucharistic Adoration for an evening filled with prayer, music, reflection and fellowship. Come join us on Wednesday, October 16, at 8:00pm at the CES for a night to sing in praise and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament!
Serve Breakfast At Fr. Joe's Village
Jesus calls us to feed the hungry. If you would like an opportunity to carry out this mission by serving breakfast at Fr. Joe's Village on  Saturday, October 19, from 6:00am to 9:00am, please sign up or contact Rosy. Your service is very much appreciated!
Healing Circle
Our Care Ministry will hold its monthly healing circle on Sunday, October 13, after 12:30pm Mass, in the Chapel. Everyone is welcome, especially those who would like to join together in praying for healing in any aspect of their lives or those of their loved ones.
Sunday Cafe
The Women's Ministry is sponsoring a community, coffee, and snacks event on Sunday, October 20 and Sunday, December 15, after 12:30pm mass.

They will be taking signups for bringing finger foods and pastries on Sunday, October 6 and Sunday, October 14 after 12:30pm Mass.
Refugee Songs: A Musical Journey
A true story of a young musician uprooted from a homeland torn apart by revolution. Performance on Saturday, October 19, at 7:00pm at the Mandeville Auditorium at UCSD. Seating is limited, must pre-register on EventBrite and have a ticket for admission (no tickets available at the door). Tickets to opening night will be offered free of charge, on a first come first served basis.

Augustinian Vocation Discernment Retreat
The Augustinian Friars are sponsoring a vocation discernment retreat at St. Augustine Monastery, San Diego, from Friday afternoon, October 25, to Sunday the 27th. The retreat is open to single men age 20 to 40 who are interested in exploring religious community life. For more information and application for the weekend, e-mail Fr. Maxime Villeneuve, O.S.A.

Sexual Abuse Compensation Program
The Independent Victim Compensation Program (ICP), a program sponsored by the Diocese of San Diego to assist victim-survivors who were abused as minors by priests of this diocese, has begun accepting applications. The ICP is independent and not controlled by the Church. There is no time limit on when the abuse may have taken place. The program will consider all claims, regardless of how long ago the abuse occurred. No attorney is necessary and there are no fees of any kind. U.S. Residency is also not required. For more information go to their website  www.CaliforniaDiocesesICP.com.
