Newman Robotics  Team offers a Small Assist for Coronavirus
(By Dr. Bob Hall)

Newman Robotics Coach Jonny  Slocum is on a team at MIT with a Google grant to build inexpensive, but effective ventilators for Corona-virus patients in critical care.  The lack of ventilators is one of the serious bottlenecks of care for those hit hard by the virus.

Jonny's team has a supply problem  as they are unable to get the  small dc-motors to power their prototype ventilators.  The  Newman Robotics Team  team has just such motors and was delighted to donate them.

In the publication associated with the building of the ventilators  the Newman Robotics Team will be credited with helping in the cause.

So, the Newman School is contributing toward the fight against the virus.

Here's a photo of a prototype in the works.
