Wanderlust

Discover the most adventurous you while staying at SpringHill Suites, the newest all-suites hotel in Beaufort, "byoo-fert" (as in beautiful), South Carolina, situated on iconic Boundary Street. The 111-room hotel is close to the picturesque waterfront historic district known for its cobble streets, authentic dining, and boutique shopping in the heart of the Lowcountry. Salt air is abundant in this intercoastal city where outdoor activities rule the day – tour the sea islands, play on championship golf courses, visit Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park, and check out historical sites such as the Reconstruction Era National Historical Park, Beaufort History Museum, and step back in time with the unique antebellum homes. Plan day trips to neighboring Hilton Head Island and Charleston to absorb more Lowcountry vibes. After sightseeing, guests gather at the hotel’s wonderful firepit or pool area. Razen Smallas, a Guest Service team member at SHS, gave us the insider lowdown. She sends guests looking for a local take on Beaufort’s fantastic food scene to Dockside Restaurant to try the honey-glazed salmon. However, she is also partial to her cousin’s restaurant, Seaside Bar & Grill, on St. Helena’s Island. For drinks, she points her guests to local Dos Amigos for the best margaritas and last call; Hemingways is the place open until 4:00 am on the weekends.
