Garage Sale this week
Remember that we will have a garage sale this week at OCCS on Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. You can drop off items after school on Thursday.

More help is needed to set up and run the sale. Please use the attached link to signup: https://signup.com/login/entry/857011305967068060.

There will also be a bake sale during the garage sale times. You can drop off baked goods Thursday after school as well. Please make sure items are packaged in either 1/2 dozen or dozen for selling.
Directory Contest Winners
Congratulations to Kyra Van Schouwen, 7th grade for drawing the 2019-2020 Parent Directory cover design! Additional designs featured in the directory are Back Cover: Jaelye Woudstra, 7th grade; Front Inside: Deacon Vogel, 4th grade; Back Inside: Lily Bonnema, 6th grade. Thank you to all the students that shared their time and creative talents to enter the contest!
Society Meeting Results
Last evening the society met to elect three new board members. Elected were: Luke Perry, Melanie Van Grouw, and Brady Goslinga. A big thank you to the three board members who have completed their years of service: Jon Pontier, Jennifer Mulder, and Jesse Hofmeyer. In a board meeting following the society meeting, the following board members were elected as officers: Ethan Huizenga, President; Bert Reinders, Vice President; Marlin Vollink, Treasurer; Heather Hofmeyer, Secretary; and Melanie Van Grouw, Vicar. If you were unable to attend and would like to receive a financial report, please stop by the office to pick one up.
Fun Night
The annual OCCS Family Fun Night will be held on Saturday evening, September 21 from 5:00-8:00pm at the school. The middle school students and their parents are again in charge of this activity. Enjoy supper from the concession stand with your family along with many family friendly activities. Punch cards will be sold for the activities: 10 ticket cards are $5.00 and 20 ticket cards are $10.00. Most activities are one ticket. Generous support and donations will be greatly appreciated!
Bake Walk activity at Fun Night
CAKES! BARS! COOKIES! MUFFINS! HOMEMADE CANDY! The middle school is looking for 25 volunteers to provide items for our bake walk during Fun Night. If you are willing to donate a cake or a dozen cookies/bars/muffins/homemade candy for the bake walk, please sign up in the OCCS office. Please sign up by Wednesday, September 18. You can bring in your baked items to the OCCS office on Friday if that works better in your schedule.
See You At The Pole
On Wednesday, September 25, OCCS will be participating in the ‘See You At The Pole’ time of prayer. This is a time for students, teachers, and parents to gather around the school flag pole for a time of prayer. We will be joining thousands of others at schools across the country in praying for our world, nation, state, and local area. We will begin at 8:20am and conclude at approximately 8 :35am .

Please save your paper towel rolls and old Birds & Blooms or Country magazines for the preschool classroom. You can drop these items off in the office if you have them. Thank you!
