November Hymn: "Children of the Heavenly Father"
Verse: "The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing." Ps. 145:15-16
Winter coats, hats, & gloves
OCCS received a generous donation of winter hats, gloves, and coats from a local business (Sekisui AeroSpace). If your family would benefit from a new winter coat, hat, or gloves for your son/daughter, PLEASE contact the office! We have more than enough. There are various sizes to choose from. Be blessed as you bless. This is just another way that OCCS desires to partner with parents. We are excited to hear from you. Next week is supposed to be colder.
Building Access
Please remember that no one is allowed to access the building beyond the office. If you are bringing something to school for your child, please leave it in the office. Thank you!
Homework Pickup
If you need to pickup homework for your child who was absent, please come to school after 3:30. The teacher will bring it to the office at the end of the day. If this does not work, please make arrangements with the teacher for a time that works for both of you.

Note: If there is a sibling at school, homework will be sent with the sibling and will not be brought to the office.
Scholastic Book Fair
The last day to view the Scholastic Book Fair display is November 5 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the music room if you would like to browse/purchase in person. There is also an option to purchase online by using the link below. Online orders of $25+ will receive free shipping. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. J. Wielenga.

Thank you for supporting OCCS!

There are extra shirts from the Monica apparel sale that are available to purchase in the office. All shirts are $15.00.
On-Line Shopping
OCCS is signed up for parents/constituents to do online Amazon shopping through AmazonSmile. The name is listed as: “Orange City Society for Christian Instruction.” The funds earned from this foundation will be used by the Technology Department. The bottom link will take you right to the sign in page for OCCS. You can still use your TRIP certificates when shopping through AmazonSmile. If you have a current Amazon account, you can use that information to log in.

What is AmazonSmile?
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers: http://smile.amazon.com/ch/42-0776438
