New Admissions Video:

We are excited to share that over the next couple of months, our school will be creating a new admissions video to highlight the vibrant community and Christ-centered education we offer at OCCS. To help us bring this project to life, we are partnering with Mark Volkers and some digital media students from Dordt University who will be capturing footage for the video.

During this time, you may notice cameras around our classrooms, various school events, and even some interviews being conducted. The purpose of this video is to showcase the unique qualities of our school and share our story with prospective families in a meaningful and engaging way.

We wanted to make you aware of this project in case you see filming taking place around the school. We are excited to see how God will use this new video to reflect the heart of OCCS and help others learn about the incredible things happening here. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Schedule Change:

The board has approved a noon dismissal on Monday, February 24, 2025. There will be NO lunch served because of the noon dismissal. This will be a PD time for our teachers to train on our new math curriculum. The 1:30pm dismissal on Friday, February 28 will now be a full day of school.

Important ESA Information:

ESA funding for 2nd semester is now available. The process to initiate funding is similar to 1st semester.



School action:

• OCCS will review tuition, fees and credits for all current students, and adjust the amount to be charged for 2nd semester, if necessary.
• In some cases, OCCS may add band and/or orchestra fees.

Parent/Guardian action:

• Odyssey generated an email notifying you that an invoice is available to review.
• Review the invoice at Odyssey. If you have questions, please contact Lori at financial@occhristian.pvt.k12.ia.us.

To maintain ESA eligibility, approve payment through Odyssey as soon as possible. https://iowa.withodyssey.com/.

TRIP News:

• School year TRIP hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00am - 3:30pm. and Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am - 12:00pm.
