Scottsdale announces new Senior Director of Economic Development & Tourism


Scottsdale has named Kevin Burke as its new Senior Director of Economic Development & Tourism. With more than 15 years of experience in municipal leadership and economic development, Burke brings a strong track record of strategic planning, regional collaboration, and business growth.


In this role, he will oversee the city’s Economic Development and Tourism departments, advancing initiatives that support business recruitment, expansion, tourism, and long-term economic vitality. Scottsdale celebrates innovation, small business success at Sterling Awards

Scottsdale Economic Development was honored to participate in this year’s Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Sterling Awards, an annual celebration recognizing businesses that exemplify innovation, excellence and community impact. Our department was proud to sponsor the Micro Business Award, underscoring the Scottsdale’s commitment to advancing small business success. Interim Economic Development Director Josh Utterback represented the city by presenting the award during the ceremony.
