Hello. . .and Goodbye. . .
We are hoping that we can all come back to church - whenever people feel comfortable - so that we can all say HELLO and resume congregational life! But due to changes in some people's lives, several that we know of will be moving away. Those who want to say GOODBYE to Jane Barker and Melinda Haag (moving in April) and Kathy and Steve Pederson (moving in March) might want to send a card, give them a call, or look for them in person at church. (You can find their addresses and phone numbers in Realm or in an older membership book). If you know of others who may be moving, please do let us know. Call Priscilla Sibley (708-280-7590) or Janet Haisman (708-227-1296) of the Fellowship Team with any questions.

Help First United Help Housing Forward
Housing Forward has opened a shelter at Good Shepherd Lutheran on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in March and April and we are working to help. Here's where you come in:

  • Joanne Despotes is forming a team to help provide shelter and 15 bagged breakfasts on select Thursdays (March 10 and 24 and April 14 and 28). Call or email Joanne (708-209-1377; [email protected]) for more info or to volunteer.
  • Lois Love is organizing volunteers to provide 15 bagged lunches for the shelter at least four times (two in March and two in April). Click here to see what is needed and then connect with Lois ([email protected]) to sign up.

Thanks to Joanne and Lois for their leadership.
Dinner and a Movie, March 11
Join us for a showing of “Driveways” on March 11 at 7 p.m. in the lounge. When 8-year-old Cody travels cross-country with his mom to clean out her late sister's house, he's ready for adventure. But little does he know that it will take the form of a friendship with the grouchy Korean War veteran next door. RSVP to Liz Swan at 708-567-3490.
Tell Me the Truth About Racism - Registration Extended
We have extended the registration period for Tell Me the Truth About Racism until Saturday, March 5. Please register in advance so our soup supper team knows how to plan. Click the button to learn more and register.
