From the earliest 17th-century settlement in New Amsterdam to the long-established American Jewish community today, participants will learn about the indelible mark the Jews of our continent and nation have made upon the millenia-long arc of Jewish history.


This class resumes in the fall ... beginning where we left off in the mid-1800s.

TOUR THE CRANBROOK HOUSE & GARDENS WITH CHJ!

Step back in time to a golden era of craftsmanship on a guided tour of Cranbrook House. 


Learn about the Booth family and their treasured estate while viewing handcrafted furniture, tapestries, tiles, stained glass, and other works of art on the first floor of the manor. Tours include spaces where the Booths dined, entertained, and conducted business. After touring the house, we will take a self-guided stroll through the gardens.


The 1908 English Tudor house was designed by renowned Detroit architect Albert Kahn in the Arts and Crafts style. The home is now the oldest surviving Tudoresque manor in metro Detroit open for public tours. 


Tour Details:


Meet at: 380 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills

(park in the main lot at Cranbrook House & Gardens)


Fee: $20 per person, paid at the time of booking (not refundable)


Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled tour to allow time to park and walk up to Cranbrook House for check-in.
