Novak, this time reading from his innovative new "picture" book, The Book with No Pictures

news3Fiction Fridays Continue

Fiction Fridays continue through the end of August, for 15% off your new fiction purchases in the store. And fiction from the kids/YA section is of course included in the sale! Here are some recommendations from our staff for late summer reads from the kids section.

The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom

"Complex heroes, kick-butt heroines, and giggles throughout." --Katherine F.

"Fair warning: when I read this, time stopped and the outside world blurred, darkened, and vanished. You'll want to sit down somewhere." --Rachel S.

"This is a magical tale of Good and Evil inspired by Arthurian myths and legends and I highly recommend it for all young readers as well as adults who appreciate great storytelling." --Ben F.

news4Tickets on Sale Tuesday

Tickets go on sale August 26 for staff favorites historical novelist Sarah Waters and critically adored YA novelist Rainbow Rowell.

Riverhead Books has just republished Waters' first five books in this majestic set of matching paperbacks, and we'll be giving away a set to one lucky winner at the event on September 18.

Thanks for reading,
Alex
