Happy New Year!
On behalf of the board of directors, I want to wish the staff, volunteers, members and patrons all the very best to you and your loved ones in the 2020 year.
Riverfront has had an extraordinary year in 2019 with commencement of construction of our new home at 1950 California Street in Downtown. It means that in 2020 (our 40th year) we will bring our plans to completion. We expect to be given the keys to our new theatre at the end of February. The Artistic Committee Chair has set May 9, 2020 as the opening night for our first play, the comedy
Clue
.
Larry Morgon and the building committee have coordinated with Don Ajamian Construction Company personnel to keep the project focused and moving forward. They have made great progress but still need help in finishing acquisition and installation of fixtures and equipment that are not included in the construction contract.
You can help now by sponsoring a seat in our new theatre and have your name or organization's name permanently inscribed on a plaque on the seat. We have a limited number of them left at either the ‘Gold’ or ’Silver’ levels. Sponsoring a seat would be of great help to us, I hope you will consider doing so.
You are also invited to a celebration of our journey at the Win River Event Center on February 21.We will have auction items and entertainment featuring Linda Bott and the Lou White Band, as well as special surprise guests.
I know you have been asked to help many times in the last 15 or so years that the theatre management has been fund raising toward this move. But we are now very close and we truly need your help in a big way. Please be part of our crossing the finish line of this marathon race.
Have a Happy and healthy 2020 and we'll see you at the show!
