Sponsor a flag to recognize and honor the service of a veteran or active-duty service member, and join us for this special tribute on Monday, November 10th, 9:30–10:00 AM on the front lawn as we come together to honor those who have served our country with courage and pride.

MARSHALL MILITARY FAMILIES - LET'S CONNECT

We Want to Build Connections with our Military Families.

The Marshall Military Youth Liaison Organization (MYLO) seeks to connect with members of our Marshall community who have served, or are currently serving, in the military.

Our students would love the opportunity to send thank-you cards, recognize your service, and learn how we can better support our military families throughout the year.

If you or someone in your household has a military connection, please let us know by completing the Google Form below. Together, we can continue to honor and strengthen the bond between our school and our military community.

Marshall Market: Here for Furloughed Families

If your family has been furloughed, the Marshall Market is here to help. We provide food, snacks, and personal care items to families in need, and all requests are handled privately. As we prepare for Thanksgiving and winter break, we want to ensure that every Marshall family has the support they need during the holiday season.

Please reach out to your student's counselor so we can connect you with the resources available.

You can also help other Marshall families by donating Lidl gift cards in $25 increments or contributing directly to the Marshall Market. Abeer El-BazMath Teacher & IB Coordinator.

What do you enjoy most about your job? I am a math teacher and one of the two IB Coordinator. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for learning and problem-solving with my students. It is very rewarding when I see them starting their own fun journey.

If you weren’t in education, what would you be doing instead?  I (am ) would be a statistician. Being a data detective is something I love to do. Discovering the secrets that numbers can uncover is something that I find rewarding and fun.

What’s one thing you hope students take away from your class or role? That being good in math is not about knowing all the solutions. It is about what we do when we do not know the solutions. Being a critical thinker and a problem solver is what I am hoping my students learn to be in my class.

What do you wish more parents understood about today’s high school experience? It takes a long time for me to convince my students that they should value learning over grades. I tell them that when learning happens, good grades will follow. The learning journey has its ups and downs, and it may be taking longer than we expect. Prioritizing grades over learning may look practical and imperative in the short term, but the long-term outcomes may not be as we hope for.
