ALERT New Pennsylvania Overtime Regulation Now in Effect

The Pennsylvania Bulletin finally published the overtime regulation so that the effective date for the new rules is October 3, 2020.

This means that the minimum salary required for exempt executives, administrators and professional (EAP) employees in Pennsylvania is now $684 per week ($35,568 annually) effective October 3, 2020, will be $780 weekly ($40,560 annually) effective October 3, 2021, and $875 weekly ($45,500 annually) effective October 3, 2022. Under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the minimum weekly salary required for EAP employees to be exempt from minimum wage and overtime requirements is currently $684.


Inaugural PA State Wide Job Fair
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)
 
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be celebrating NDEAM by hosting the  First Statewide Virtual Job Fair. This event will be held  October 19 - 23, 2020 utilizing Labor Connect’s virtual platform. We have many exciting opportunities planned for employers and job seekers! 
 
Employers will have the opportunity to meet with job seekers on three separate days. Two days (Wednesday 10/21/2020 and Thursday 10/22/2020) will have morning and afternoon sessions dedicated to adult job seekers, who have identified as having a disability and one day (Friday 10/23/2020) will be dedicated to high school students, who have identified as having a disability. Employers will have the opportunity to participate in one day, two days, or  ALL  three days!
 
Employment fairs have been a resounding success because of employers like you. We are looking for employers who have internship opportunities and/or permanent hiring needs. There is no charge for an employer to participate. Registration includes job recruiter, 10 job postings, and a virtual interview room. Click  HERE to reserve a spot!
