Tomato Garden Fundraiser

Spring is coming and our tomato garden fundraiser is here!
January 17-February 3.

Order forms were sent home with students earlier this week.

Please ask family and friends to consider purchasing a tomato garden or purchasing one as a donation to our SVA garden or another community garden. PTO will make arrangements for all donated plants to be planted!

Each tomato garden sells for $15 and our PTO will receive $8 from each garden purchased!

The money raised will go toward field trips, technology and other projects that directly benefit our students.

Tomato Gardens will be delivered in mid-March.

For more information about this local fundraiser, including planting tips for your Tomato Garden, visit the Gardens4Education website.

Contact Cristina Johnson for more info or to help distribute Tomato Gardens in March.
Basketball

It's that time of year again! Miss Yado and the Bennetts continue to grow and improve our program each year.  This year we have more players than ever before.

It's sure to be an exciting season.  All are encouraged to stick around on game days to cheer on our Explorers. Home games begin at 3:30PM. Full schedule listed below.

The SVA basketball coaches are looking for a parent or two to coordinate snacks and snackbar for game days!  If you're interested, talk with the coaches!  Several people have offered to help, but the team needs someone to coordinate, starting with snack sales on Tuesday, January 24 .  Concession sales are a great opportunity to raise money for SVA sports!

JOG-A-THON Business Sponsors Needed!

Save the date! March 8  is the 5th Annual Jog-A-Thon.

SVA PTO is looking for business sponsors for this annual event.  If your business or one you know is interested in a sponsorship opportunity, please see/share the letter and sponsorship form

Sponsors names/logos will be included on this year's jog-a-thon t-shirts as well as on signs around campus.  It's a great way to advertise AND support our school.

PTO is hoping to get more business sponsors this year and students who secure a $500 sponsorship will win one of the coveted spots to go Bowling with Mr. Benton (includes lunch and limo ride to/from bowling alley!) in March.

Individual pledge forms for students to collect donations will come home with kids at the end of February.

Poetry & Prose auditions will be held after school on Friday, February 3 .  SVA is allowed 6 entries (some group some solos) in the County competition.

Students need to submit a signed application/permission slip to the front office by February 1  to be able to audition. Mrs. George has copies of the application/permission slip in the front office.

Small class sizes provide a hands-on experience that encourages artistic engagement with instructors and fellow students.

To enroll your child, please fill out the enrollment form and return it to Arts Visalia. Class sizes are limited with enrollment on a first-come first-served basis. To guarantee a place in a class, tuition must be paid at the time of enrollment.
