Middle School Boys Football
Parents of Next Year's Middle School Boys

As many of you know, we co-op with Brownell Talbot for Middle School Football.

Brownell-Talbot provides equipment, facilities, and coaching for the program. In order to provide the best opportunities for the students, Brownell-Talbot would like to get an idea of how many players they will have in the fall.

They have asked our middle school families to respond to a survey of OCA students. Answers to the survey are not binding. They are only for planning purposes.

The survey is found at the following link:
Thank you in advance for your help in gathering information.

If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

Cross Country

Cross-country is an extracurricular athletic option to Omaha Christian Academy Middle and High School students.

WHAT IS CROSS COUNTRY:

Cross-country is an individual sport where the runner is completing a mile run on nature’s terrain, trying to improve their personal time through increasing their mileage in training. However, it requires a team to support, push, and encourage each other to keep going.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:

You do not have to be a "runner" to participate in this sport.

Cross Country calls for an individual that is willing to be dedicated, persevere, patient, and faithful to push beyond their own personal goals to rely on the strength that lies deeper within.

If you are a student unsure about what sport to participate in, cross-country could be for you.

If you are a student that enjoys running and but had not thought about it being a sport, cross-country could be for you.

No matter what your individual knowledge or experience has been, cross-country is a sport that anybody can try!

QUESTIONS:

You can sign up for Cross Country in the fall! Reach out to Mrs. Erwin at 531-301-2640 or [email protected] with questions.
Meet the Middle School Coach

MRS. ERWIN

I, Mrs. Erwin, have taught at OCA for three years now. I started in kindergarten and now teaching Preschool.

As a former cross-country runner, who was just trying a sport to do something in school, I learned that it is not about how you start...but how you finish.

I was not the fastest on the team, the most successful, or the most skilled.

I learned to persevere and my favorite motto from what I learned is, “Do your best and let God take care of the rest”.

With that, I went from JV my freshman year to missing my sophomore year with shin splits, to getting healthy and running Varsity my junior and senior year.

I ran my race, but I was never alone and finished each race with nothing left on the table.

This year, my goal is to see change in a young heart/mind that allows them to become who God created them to be through learning something new or developing something familiar.

Join us this year for Cross Country and Running Club! Let’s Go!!!
