THANK YOU FOR COMING TO THE GALA

We had a great turnout at the gala last night!

The Automotive Class showcased the car they have been working on all semester. Roy Helu, Jr. gave the motivating keynote address, Jarell Roach made everyone laugh through his comedy, and Mrs. Krehbiel encouraged donors that an investment in Christian education prepares students for the world we live in.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ANDREUS KAVAN!

Congratulations to OCA Senior, Andreus Kavan, for signing a football scholarship with Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa. While at Waldorf, Andre plans to pursue a degree in education, with the career goal of becoming a physical education teacher and coach. Congratulations, Andre! Your OCA Family is so proud of you!

Only a few days left in our Online Book Fair!

Remember, when you buy books for your family, our school library will benefit from those purchases.

The online store will close on Monday, March 25.

ELEMENTARY EARLY DISMISSAL

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the elementary students will be having early dismissal.

• PS/PK will be dismissed at 2:00 PM
• K-6th will be dismissed at 2:15 PM

2024-2025 COURSE REGISTRATION

Be on the lookout next week for the 2024-2025 Course Registration Guide in Sycamore Education. Your 7th-12th grade student(s) will be bringing home their course registration form for you to review and sign.

Completed forms should be turned in to your student’s first period teacher by Wednesday, March 27.

CHIPOTLE NIGHT

Ditch the dishes and come support the last fundraiser of the year for the Senior Class!

Prom for juniors and seniors will be on April 13, 2024.

• Tickets are on sale now in the office for $35 each.
• A form will be given with each purchased ticket where students may indicate any special dietary needs (gluten free/dairy free).
• Food will be catered from Spaghetti Works. (GF, DF options available)
• Students who wish to bring a non-OCA guest must fill out and return a form to Mr. Shanks by Wednesday, April 10 for approval. Forms are available in the office.

ELEMENTARY SPRING CONCERT - SAVE THE DATE

Save the Date for the Elementary Spring Concert on Thursday, April 25.

All students, Kindergarten through 6th grade will perform; as well as the beginning band and our elementary Honor Choir. The performance will begin at 6:30 PM in the OCA Gym. More information to follow in the coming weeks. Make plans to be there!

LOST & FOUND

Please check lost and found - located in the Cafeteria - if your student is missing a coat or jacket (or sweatshirt, shoes, water bottle, etc.). Any unclaimed items will be donated at Spring Break!

SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY

Looking for a summer job? NATS Detasseling is looking for positive workers aged 13 and up. NATS is accepting applications now online.

Detasseling is a great way to develop leadership skills and build a resume that will attract future employers and colleges. Every employee receives a 25% discount on ACT prep from OnToCollege and anyone living in Lancaster County who has detasseled for NATS is eligible to apply for a LIBA College Scholarship.

We have also seen great work lead to great friendships on our crew that last for life!

Applying early is recommended, as every year we do have a waiting list of workers.
