Upcoming State Testing
Over the next few weeks, some students at Lakeland and Harrison will be participating in upcoming state testing. During two of these days next week, both schools will operate on modified schedules to conduct the testing.
FAST Assessment - Students in Grades 9 & 10
On Sept. 13 & 14, students in 9th and 10th grade will take the new F.A.S.T. (Florida Assessment of Student Thinking). This is a progress monitoring test required by the state of Florida to be conducted three times a year. To accomplish this testing in two days, Lakeland and Harrison will operate on a modified "block" schedule for those two days.
- On 9/13, ALL students will go to periods 7, 1, 3, & 5.
- On 9/14, ALL students will go to periods 7, 2, 4, & 6.

FSA ELA & Algebra 1 EOC Retakes
Students who have not earned a passing score on the FSA ELA and/or Algebra 1 EOC tests required for graduation will be scheduled to take those during the last two weeks of September. FSA ELA Retakes will occur Sept. 19-21. Algebra 1 EOC Retakes will occur Sept. 27-28. The bell schedule will remain the same during these tests.
